Description: The class is a combo of boxing and martial art drills. Kicks and punches are combined for a high impact cardiovascular workout. Modifications and proper form is stressed throughout the class for maximum benefit and injury prevention. Burn fat and release stress in this full body muscle sculpting class.

MAKE YOUR OWN BRAIDED COTTON RUG

Description: Using a new or recycled king size sheet, learn to make a small braided rug for your home. With the same technique, you will also be able to make braided potholders, trivets and chair pads. Little or no sewing experience is required. Additional supplies to be purchased by the participant will range up to approximately $20.00. *Supplies needed to be purchased or brought to the class are: One king size flat sheet, (200 thread count of higher), scissors, sewing needle and coordinating thread. Description: The Stott-based Pilates method, incorporates a springboard and mat to stretch and strengthen your core. The versatile springboard, uses springs attached to a wall and adds extra resistance for challenging exercises. This circuit course will alternate springboard and Stott Pilates mat exercises. No previous Pilates experience is necessary. More challenging modifications will be offered for those with previous Pilates experience. Description: This course is designed to work in corporation with the Express Mat Pilates, for those who can spare a bit more time, or alone for those wishing to tone their upper body. Core strength and arm toning condensed into a half-hour session using the Stott-based Pilates method. Exercises use the springboard and other small equipment, such as Fitness Circles and Therabands. PILATES FOR EASING LOW BACK PAIN

Description: Recreational basketball for men 18 yrs. and older. Participants should bring their own basketball. Must register the session fee at the Parks and Recreation Office by Monday, October 4.
Suffield Parks and Recreation offer inclusive Special Needs Programs
These programs foster friendships, fitness, crafting and games that are inclusive. We also go on many fun outings throughout the year for high school students through adult. Enrollment is on a first come first paid basis. Volunteers are always welcome. If you wish to join the group you must pre-register. BOWLING - ADULTS
Day: Tuesdays
Dates: Starting September 14 and ongoing until May
Time: 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Location: Bradley Bowl, Route 75, Windsor Locks
Fee: $9.00 per night for three games and shoe rental
Description: Enjoy a great evening of bowling and meeting new friends. Get some exercise and have some fun! This is for high school students through adult. Volunteer special partners are always welcome! You must pre-register for this program.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
All registrations and payment for programs must be received in advance at the Parks and Recreation Office, 230C Mountain Road. Make checks payable to the SUFFIELD PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT. There will be a fee of $10.00 for checks returned by the bank for non-payment. For payments made in cash, we request exact change.
For payments that are mailed in, we recommend you call the office to verify receipt. A mail box is located outside the building for after hours drop off for those customers who need to conduct business before or after our scheduled office hours. Programs are for Suffield residents. Some programs have limited enrollment. The Department reserves the right to set a maximum for each program and to cancel a program due to insufficient enrollment. No unregistered person may attend a program. Your early registration helps us make the decision to run the program.
REFUND POLICY
ALL PROGRAMS ARE BASED ON A LIMITED ENROLLMENT – EITHER DEADLINE DATE OR WHEN PROGRAM IS FULL – Please register early to ensure that you have a spot and that the programs are not canceled. If the Parks & Recreation Office is notified 7 business days prior to the start of the program, all but 25% of the program fee will be refunded. No refunds once program starts. We reserve the right to cancel or consolidate programs based on registrations. Full refunds are given for any canceled programs.
