Captain David Bourque is a 25 year veteran who started with Suffield in 1981 and was promoted to Captain in February of 2004. In addition to his wide assortment of daily administrative duties he maintains the computer records systems and applies and maintains state and federal grants. He is currently the Commander for NCMARS, a nine town accident reconstruction team of 14 officers representing North Central Connecticut. "We strive for community based services and because our police personnel are the only representatives of municipal government available seven days a week, 24 hours a day, the Department handles a wide variety of calls for service which are non-criminal in nature. Calls for information or non-traditional help are always welcome, and the staff is well-trained on what community resources are available to those in need of special service."
