2017 Discover CT – Suffield featured October 22nd
The Suffield Cultural Council is hosting the Discover Suffield Bike Tour. On Sunday, October 22nd Suffield will be the featured town in a series of rides put on by Bike Walk Connecticut, a statewide nonprofit advocating for pedestrians and cyclists. 10, 25 and 50 mile routes will launch from Hilltop Farm; there is a free kids Bike Rodeo between noon and 2. Lunch will be catered by Bear’s BBQ; 250 cyclists at the Suffield event are anticipated. The Suffield Chamber is assisting with the promotion.

Sponsorships available:Sponsors will be listed on the route cards given to all the riders and also on the BikeWalkCT web site. We will also have a donor board on display at the event.
Ride proceeds will be used to fund our 2017 work to make Connecticut a better place to bike and walk; a portion of the proceeds from the Discover CT rides will benefit local youth programs and cycling initiatives in Suffield. Volunteer:Workers are needed to staff rest stops at First Baptist Church, Babbs Beach, Sunrise Park and Phelps Hatheway House. Road Marshals are needed to ride along the routes and call issues in to the command center. Help is also needed setting up before and cleaning up after the event at Hilltop Farm.
