Board of Assessment Appeals
The Board of Assessment Appeals is an official municipal agency. It is designed to serve as an appeal body for taxpayers who believe that town or city assessors erred in the valuation of their properties or erroneously denied them exemptions. It is a review body that serves independently of assessors.
The board consists of three (3) members each of whom is elected for a term of four years. At each biennial election thereafter there shall be elected members of such board in place of members whose terms expire (Suffield Town Charter).

Taxpayers may appeal their assessment by filing a written application for a hearing on or before February 20th
Applications for appeal may be obtained below
- Superior Court
Appeals of a BAA decision to superior court must be made within 2 months of notice
